How To Enter Honda Accord Radio Codes
Honda Accord radio codes are designed as an anti-theft measure. In the event of an attempted theft, the radio stops working once disconnected from the car battery, and automatically resets. This reset can also occur if your car battery dies. Your radio will then flash “CODE”, indicating that you need to enter your Honda Accord audio system code in order to unlock normal radio functions. Where To Find Your Honda Accord Audio System Code
Honda Accord radio codes can be retrieved in one of several ways:
- In many vehicles, you’ll find the audio system code on a sticker inside of the glovebox, along with the serial number for the radio unit.
- You can also check your owner’s manual, or contact the service center at your local Cincinnati Honda dealership to speak with a technician directly.
- Or, retrieve your code online via the manufacturer’s website. To do so, be prepared to enter your phone number, email address, zip code, serial number, proof of ownership, and VIN number. Note that the VIN number is located on the driver’s side of your car, behind the windshield.
What if I can’t Find My Code?
If you only see the 8-digit radio serial number, you can still reset your radio. As noted above, you can use your radio serial number to retrieve your audio code from the Honda website. If you can’t find either the radio serial number or the audio system reset code, your best bet is to call up your dealership! Entering Your Honda Accord Audio System Code
Honda Accord radio codes are 5-digit numbers, and you’ll be using the radio preset buttons to submit your code to the radio unit. For example, if your code is “33351”, simply press the preset numbers that correspond to the digits.
