How Does FCW Work?

So, how does FCW work? When equipped with FCW, Honda vehicles are able to alert drivers when a forward collision is imminent. Forward Collision Warning uses advanced sensors to detect a slow moving or stopped vehicle and then warns you of the hazard. We think it’s a great feature. Forward Collision Warning

• Detects vehicles, bicycles, and motorbikes
• Works day and night in all weather conditions
• Sensors that read up to 500 feet ahead of your vehicles, scanning over 20 times per second
• Allows for up to 5 seconds of reaction time
• Does not operate at speeds below 3 miles an hour in order to avoid unnecessary warnings
